14 Days of Love: Day 1

It's finally February. Love (and Black history) is in the air. The time is right for another Giant Electric Penguin special feature. So, light some candles, pour the wine, remove your clothing, and stretch out on your best bear-skin rug and enjoy 14 Days of Love.Type: Love Triangle

Example: Archie Andrews-Veronica Lodge-Betty Cooper

There have been plenty of "love triangles" throughout the years, but none perhaps more memorable or long-running than the one made up of good girl Betty Cooper, rich bitch Veronica Lodge, and Riverdale's most eligible ginger, Archie Andrews. Unsightly freckles, fiery orange clown hair, and unreliable vehicle aside, Andrews has remained the object of affection for Betty and Veronica for almost 70 years. In all honesty, Archie is about the only young man in Riverdale worth considering a long-term relationship with. I mean, who are your other choices? Crown-wearing glutton Jughead Jones? Self-centered con-artist Reggie Mantle? Borderline retarded, (probably) date-rapist Big Moose? Archie, while guilty of having a roving eye, is easily manipulated and perpetually pussy-whipped. In essence, he's what every woman wants.

Other Examples: Jules-Catherine-Jim; Morris-Kapowski-Slater; that bizzare one that New Order was always singing about.
